For some horses that have more muscular chest, it is best to also take a Side to Side chest measurement just below the mid chest height. Lenore is using a vertical ruler as a visual to locate where this measurement should begin above the outside of the leg. Please note where she is pointing to indicate where it should start. You then take the tape measure across the front of your horse to the other side at the same side point on the opposite side.
